Get out of overthinking and thrive in the doing of your life

Did you know that our tendency towards overthinking and spending too much time in our heads deprives us of so many opportunities to live our lives to the fullest of our potential. We get stuck in analysis state, instead of just getting into action state and learning as we go. So in this workbook I have laid out the pages in a way that you can plan out key actions you can take on a daily basis. Which will help you to get out of your thinking state and into a more active doing state. Also it is about creating a balance between doing and being. Give yourself some alloted time to explore your thoughts, as well as being intentionally active in your daily life.

My philosophy on how to get out of overthinking is a simple one - get active and get creative.:

  • Move your body, if you notice you are in your head too much, get up and get out.

  • Get outdoors, go for a walk, a run or a cycle and take in your external environment. Be observant of what is around you.

  • Each day choose one action step that helps you move closer to achieving your life dreams and wishes.

  • If you don’t want to go out doors, choose a creative activity, listen to music, watch a movie, create some poetry, bake a cake, allow yourself to actively get involved in some form of creative activity.

  • Hold yourself accountable, commit to the process.

So pause for a moment and consider what you can actively do over the next week, if and when you notice yourself in that overthinking state.. Give yourself the gift of physical movement or creative activity to help shift your focus and find your way foward. If you think a workbook would help you to work through how to navigate your week ahead so that you actively commit to “doing” more things that support you being more actively in your life. click here to get your free workbook.
